I love hearing stories, the history and learning about what makes people tick in order to create photographs that are personal and real. Rather than recounting how I fell in love with photography, I thought I would share a few random facts to let you get to know a little bit about me:- My husband and I have two kids, two cats and a dog. Our life is chaotic, messy, loud, and goofy. I wouldn't have it any other way.
- I write better barefoot.
- I love making my kids laugh so hard that they snort.
- I am known to be blunt. It is a blessing and a curse and I am learning to use my mental edit button more often.
- I am a Gleek and I am proud of it. My i-pod is filled with soundtracks and I love to sing at the top of my lungs with them in the car. As long as the windows are rolled up.
- My path to photography has been a crooked one. I spent 16 years in the medical field and 5 in the legal field. I wouldn't change any of the experiences that have led me to right now. Not even the painful ones as they have made me who I am.
- I am a sheet snob. LL Bean Pima Cotton for summer and LL Bean Flannel for winter. Nothing else hits my bed.
- I am a pessimistic optimist.
- I cannot stand items that hang crooked on the wall. I have been known to straighten my doctor's diplomas while I wait. Repeatedly.
- I do not own coordinated furniture. My shelves are not always dusted. My floors are not spotless. And I am okay with that.
- I am not a morning person. Coffee is my friend.
- I have horrible handwriting. I once had a doctor I worked with tell me I should go to medical school solely because of my handwriting.
- I can remember the phone numbers of my childhood friends but can't remember what I had for dinner last night.
- I am a klutz. I spend a lot of time laughing at myself.
- I tell my friends that I love them. I learned a long time ago that you never know when it is the last time.
- Random acts of kindness are good for the soul. No matter the size of the act, it may make a huge difference in someone else's life.
- I talk very very fast, even when I try to slow myself down.
-I do not have the most expensive home, car or clothes. I have everything I need and more than I ever dreamed of. I am blessed.
