Sticks & Sisters- Auburn Maine Family Photography

When I arrived at thier front door, Sam had just finished spending an hour doing her hair and getting ready for her photographs, right down to the pop of color on her nails.  Lila was in the living room doing time for a recent transgression.  They may be different as night and day but in those quiet moments, I can see such a strong connection to one another.  When they showed me the pinkie swear I shared in Bits & Pieces, I can see that very same pinkie swear 20 years from now, no matter the miles or events that come in between.

We spent some time on Sunday afternoon hanging out, giggling, finding sticks and remembering how to empty tire swings filled with fall rain. The girls showed me their quiet places and goofy faces. (I can totally see these two as an awesome Christmas card!!)

But most of all, I got to spend some time with two girls I have been so fortunate to photograph and hang out with over the past three years. Lila is quiet, funny, beautiful and independent.
I am probably going to embarrass Sam a little bit, but as we were talking and shooting, I realized how grown up she is these days. She is sweet, funny, bubbly and downright gorgeous. Seeing all of the changes in her over the past year make me smile and I cannot wait to watch her in years that come.

Laura, Sam & Lila, thank you so much for my hugs and making me laugh so hard.  I had such a good time with you! I hope you like your peek and I will have your full gallery for you shortly!
